Me and the Layla
Live painting at harmony park, Geneva MN. Revival music festival.

Hi! I'm Alex.

I'm a painter, tattooist, maker of things. I hail from Minneapolis, MN and relocated to SLC in 2018.

I've been making stuff for as long as I can remember- my mom ran daycare when I was young and started me on the arts and craft supplies early. I picked up oil painting late in high school and into college. From there I began creating live art, mostly with friend's bands and at local music festivals. After that my painting was influenced by the geometric tattoos I had been making, which evolved into multi- layer woodcuts years later. The most recent iteration of these have been incorporating stained glass and resin elements.

I've been working as a professional tattooist since 2009. Currently working at Locust tattoo in SLC (1827s 300w).

When Iā€™m not in the studio I like roller skating, houseplants, tiki drinks, hiking, diy house projects, hanging out with my dogs, too much coffee, knitting, murder podcasts, and antique shopping.
